WORKSHOPS

WEEKEND WORKSHOPS
At the core of Creative Capital’s Professional Development Program since 2003 is the Weekend Workshop, an intensive two and one-half days described as a “crash course in self-management, strategic planning, fundraising and promotion.” Based on a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum, the workshop format employs lectures, peer critiques, interactive exercises, handouts and written assignments to introduce business skills. The lectures are interspersed with presentations of the participating artists’ work, and followed by focused break-out sessions in each of the topic areas and one-on-one consultations. Participants are given a handbook and workbook as well as handouts on practical, how-to information. More than 1,500 artists have participated in this workshop to date and it is offered to Creative Capital grantees as part of their artist services package. Weekend Workshops are available for groups of up to 24 artists.
Cost: $23,000 - $27,000

Participants identify their goals and objectives in order to more effectively and accurately represent themselves and their work. During the Workshop, they have an opportunity to give a short presentation in order to work on content, verbiage, physical behavior and body language.  This Workshop is available for groups of  up to 24 artists.
