CONSULTANT WORKSHOP LEADERS
COLLEEN KEEGAN, Strategic Planning Consultant
Colleen Keegan is a partner in KEEGAN FOWLER COMPANIES, an equity investment
and consulting firm specialized in providing strategic planning and
business affairs services for companies in the communications and
entertainment industries. Keegan has also worked as a producer for MTV
Networks,
WETA,
and SHOWTIME. She has served on numerous Boards of Directors including
the American Refugee Committee, the MS Foundation, Texas Film Commission,
Emily's List, the NOW Legal Defense Fund and Senator Dianne Feinstein's
Advisory Council.
JACKIE BATTENFIELD, Marketing and Public Relations
Consultant
Jackie Battenfield is a New York artist who exhibits her paintings and
prints nationally and internationally. She is currently teaching "The
Business of Art" at Columbia University, which introduces graduate students
to business practices for artists and techniques for career development.
Since 1991, Jackie has conducted the Artist in the Marketplace (AIM) Program
at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. This model post-graduate seminar focuses
on the business of art, enabling artists to take on the job of
self-presentation and management. AIM artists participate in insightful
discussions with leading gallerists, curators, critics, and artists. AIM
topics include marketing, inventory, and pricing; and writing statements,
preparing portfolios, and finding appropriate exhibition venues.
AARON LANDSMAN, Fundraising Consultant
Aaron Landsman is a New York City theater artist. From 1993-2000
he was on staff at The Field, an artist-run service organization;
in 1996
he became
the organization's first Development Director. Aaron has also
taught fundraising and production skills at NYU's Tisch School of the
Arts, Columbia University,
and the Juilliard School. Aaron's performance work has been presented
locally and regionally, and broadcast on public radio, and has
been supported by
grants, residencies and individual contributions.

KIRBY TEPPER is the co-owner of Courtroom Appeal, a
company teaches acting
skills to attorneys. He has companies and individuals in various areas
of
communication, from conflict resolution to public speaking. He has
performed everywhere from Broadway to television to Carnegie Hall, usually
performing his own music and lyrics. He contributed a song to the first
"
Shrek" film, and is currently authoring the lyrics for a Broadway
musical
of "Gladiator". (Yes, you read that right). He has delivered
countless
speeches and his singing voice can be heard on several CD compilations
of
Broadway composers on the Varese Sarabande label.
SUSAN KOBLIN SCHEAR is the founder of ARTISIN®, LLC,
which specializes in “leading
the arts to creative business solutions.” Her passion, working
in continually evolving and changing communities, is to ensure that arts
organizations, artists and arts related businesses
are participating as stakeholders in economic and community development
for mutually beneficial opportunities. She benefits her clients by customizing
services and providing all aspects of business and strategic planning,
marketing, branding and identity. She also focuses on collaborative development,
needs assessment, community development and outreach. Ms. Schear serves
on several nonprofit boards and advisory boards. She is an established
speaker and lecturer, and teaches at various universities and organizations.
