PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Professional Development Program is currently booking workshops for 2009 and beyond. Please contact us if you are interested in presenting a workshop in your community.

CREATIVE CAPITAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (PDP) was launched in 2003 to deliver skill-building opportunities to diverse communities of artists across the country.  PDP workshops expand on what Creative Capital has learned through our grantee retreats and artist services program and offers this information to a broader community of independent artists nationwide. To date, PDP has served more than 1500 artists in over 30 communities nationwide. The program features a comprehensive menu of Workshops that include a flagship Weekend Workshop, as well as day- and evening-long Workshops.

CREATIVE CAPITAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS aim to help artists break patterns of crisis management and increase satisfaction in their art practices and careers. These Workshops use an integrated approach to cover the topics of marketing/public relations and fundraising, with a particular emphasis on strategic planning for individual artists.

Creative Capital is a national nonprofit organization that supports artists pursuing innovative approaches to form and content in the media, performing and visual arts, and in emerging fields.

NORTH CAROLINA WORKSHOP AT NCAC

Creative Capital's weekend retreat with the North Carolina Arts Council was our first multi-disciplinary weekend workshop, held at a beautiful, rustic retreat center on Kanuga Lake. Artist participants came from cities and towns across North Carolina, and spanned many cultural backgrounds and levels of experience.
